About Michael Reid
I've always wanted to "make stories move," to move storytelling beyond words on a page. For a long time, that involved a camera. As much as I love film-making, however, I couldn't get instant feedback. Live theater seemed out of the question; as much as I love collaboration, memorizing lines seemed impossible. Enter tabletop role-playing games. There is a real magic at having a small group around a table, creating a story and its characters together. Becoming a Game Master in 2015 was life-changing. As a GM, I focus on immersive roleplay experiences. For me, it's all about the story and the characters. I want to facilitate players' experiences of exploring what's meaningful to them through the process of creating and embodying a character. I strive to create TTRPG sessions that leave us all on the edges of our seats, hardly able to wait until we can come together again. After all, there's no way to look up spoilers online, or read the novel version, when even the "director" doesn't know exactly what will happen next!
