About me
Hey I'm Mika (like the singer) and I do things. I'm a queer-friendly GM who's been playing TTRPGs for 8 years and GMing for 7. I co-created the Role D5 twitch channel where we specialize in indie TTRPGs… but D&D will always have a special place in my heart. Normally I prefer light-hearted games and I'm always for the rule of cool. The best way to learn more about me or see me in action is through my beacons: https://beacons.ai/mikamcintosh/
GM Style
Lighthearted and flexible. I like the rule of cool; narrative is the most important. I believe that everyone at the table is actively shaping the world, not just me.

Mika ran me through a game of Triangle Agency and did a fantastic job teaching everyone at the table the mechanics, along with facilitating a wacky, fun story that was a truly incredible time! It’s some of the most fun I’ve had playing a TTRPG recently, especially one that I wasn’t familiar with, and I can’t recommend playing with him enough!
Mika is an amazing GM for people who are experienced or new to the TTRPG world. He does an excellent job of making sure everyone in the party gets a chance to shine. I love his world building and npc's. He has an ability to bring wonder and life to them that engages you in as a player and encourages role play. He manages a good balance between encouraging creative thinking with rule of cool but also reeling the players back in when needed so the game doesn't go off the rails. I have had the pleasure of doing several 1 shots and campaigns with Mika and I am always stoked to have him as my GM.
Mika has a clever mind and has run games with some of the most chaotic players out there, yet he has been able to keep up with all of them and still create a fun and engaging story for everyone! During our games, Mika has made sure that fun is the top priority for the table rather than rules. He is very inclusive and willing to work with his players to make sure they are getting the most out of their games!
Mika was my first DM and helped me progress so far in my player skill set and role play! He is so great at letting you role play and figure things out on your own but also putting you back on track when things inevitably go south. His voices are great and he does a fantastic job of world building.
For several years now, Mika has been the guiding force in our adventures, and his name has become synonymous with creativity, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to the art of storytelling. One of the most commendable aspects of Mika's Dungeon Mastering is his ability to incorporate improvisation into the narrative seamlessly. The worlds he builds are not static landscapes; they breathe, evolve, and react to the player's choices. It's a testament to his quick thinking and dedication to ensuring that every session feels dynamic and tailored to the unique journey of each adventuring party. The world's Mika crafts are nothing short of extraordinary. From the sprawling landscapes to the smallest details of each town and dungeon, it's evident that every element has been carefully considered and infused with creativity. The lore he weaves into the fabric of the campaign is intricate and immersive, providing a rich backdrop that enhances the depth of our characters' experiences.
When Mika convinced me to join his Saturday morning campaign during the pandemic I couldn't have had more fun! It was my first time playing any TTRPG, let alone a D&D campaign. We were all across the country, but the group still felt really close after just a couple of games. The play was fun, creative, and encouraging. Whenever I felt unsure of what to do, Mika didn't miss a beat and really helped me to find the joy in the gameplay. I couldn't have had a better GM for my first campaign.
