About Malcolm Whitfield, The Traveling GM!

Hey gang, I'm Malcolm! I'm an LA based comedian and Gamemaster, running games of Dungeons and Dragons professionally since 2020. Starting out in DnD is stressful and boring if you have the wrong DM. You need someone who can not only get you excited to play, but keep it fun while you learn as you go. if you're lookin for a stress free intro, I'm your guy. I have a ton of experience with new people, so if you have no clue what Dungeons and Dragons is, great! I can help. As a traveling in-person DM, I'll come to you, wherever you are in Los Angeles, and run a game or campaign for you and your friends! I'm a one-stop shop of DnD knowledge, and can guarantee you and your crew have a great time in the worlds we create together. Hit me up if you and a couple friends wanna run a game night, or a longer campaign, or just play with no stress, for not a lot of money. Feel free to message me if you have any questions! Idk how to end this really. I love you? Ok bye!

I got started GMing...

During the pandemic, when my 3 roommates and I all got furloughed at the same time. Looking for a way to stay sane, we discovered DnD, and now, here we are years later.

How Malcolm Whitfield, The Traveling GM! runs games

My main goal is to not necessarily follow strict adventure modules, but rather build a story together. I use 5e as a base rubric, but I am pretty much fun first, rule of cool. I rely a lot on improv and social interaction in my GMing, so I love helping people get out of their comfort zone and see how fun exploring the world can be! I also rely on communication, so I make sure the channels are as open as possible. The game is only fun if people are actually having fun, so let me know what kind of story you want to tell!
