About Maia (my-ee-uh)
Hey I'm Maia (my-ee-uh-uh), a storyteller, actual play producer, and longtime lover of narrative-driven games. I found TTRPGS a few years ago and immediately fell in love with how collaborative, emotional, and unpredictable they can be. I've been GMing ever since-building immersive worlds, guiding personal arcs, and chasing those unforgettable table moments that happen when a group really clicks. In addition to private campaigns, I also create and publish actual plays, both live streamed and edited, on Twitch, YouTube, and podcast platforms. Producing those shows has sharpened my sense of pacing, tone, and scene work, and I bring that same care to every table run, whether we're recording or just playing for fun. My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be
Only three?! Fine. City of Mist, Liminal Horror, and The Electric State.
My favorite shows/movies are
Arcane, anything directed by Makoto Shinkai, Get Out, Sinners, Only Yesterday, Fruits Basket, Fleabag, Killing Eve (Season 1) - this is just the short list of course.
People are always surprised when I tell them
That I have tried over 45 systems in the span of 2 years.
How Maia (my-ee-uh) runs games
I've ran and/or played over 45 different systems, and that's given me a strong sense of what makes stories work across genres. My games focus on immersive, character-driven storytelling where emotional depth, grounded worlds, and player choice take center stage. Whether we're exploring cozy villages, unraveling political conspiracies, surviving horror, or solving mysteries, the goal is the same: create a responsive world where your decisions matter. I love a balance between slow, reflective moments and sharp spikes of tension, building toward scenes of heartbreak, discovery, fear, humor, and emotional payoff that stay with you long after the session ends. Depending on the story, some campaigns lean more linear while others open up into sandbox-style exploration, but either way, players are active collaborators in shaping the journey. provide structure, tone, and lifelike NPCS; you drive the story through your choices, relationships, and curiosity. My tables thrive on proactive roleplay, collaboration, and emotional investment, creating stories that feel cinematic, alive, and truly ours.

Barry Jenkins meets Jordan Peele, with a little Miyazaki whimsy on top.

Maia (my-ee-uh)'s ideal table
My table is story-first, character-driven, and emotionally immersive. I run games like a showrunner, focused on pacing, tension, and narrative payoff. Think rich character arcs, morally gray choices, and a world that remembers what you’ve done. I love players who are proactive, emotionally engaged, and hungry to help tell a great story. If you treat your character like the lead in an HBO drama and love lifting up others’ arcs too, you’ll thrive here.

I am for a vibe that's...
Story-rich, character-focused, and a little bit messy, in the best way. Drama, heart, and some laughs along the way.
I love it when a player
Shows up with clear character goals, makes bold choices, and actively spotlights others at the table.
My table is not the place for...
Players who check out/don't take initiative, talk over others, or need to “win” the game. We’re here to collaborate, not compete.
