About the adventure

Your home rests at the far edge of the map, where rolling hills give way to deep forests and distant peaks. For as long as you can remember, you and your friends have traded stories of brave heroes and imagined the day you’d follow their path. That day has arrived. The Summer of Swords, your first journey beyond the valley, will take you across winding roads, to strange villages, and into the wilder corners of the world. At first, it’s about seeing the sights and meeting new faces. But the further you travel, the more you discover that the road is not without danger. Along the way, you’ll uncover traces of the adventurers who came before, some triumphant, others forgotten. This is a game for players who enjoy whimsical camaraderie, earnest heroism, and light-to-moderate peril. We’ll focus on friendship, courage, and discovery, with a balance of heartfelt roleplay and exciting challenges.

About me

Hey I'm Maia (my-ee-uh-uh), a storyteller, actual play producer, and longtime lover of narrative-driven games. I found TTRPGS a few years ago and immediately fell in love with how collaborative, emotional, and unpredictable they can be. I've been GMing ever since-building immersive worlds, guiding personal arcs, and chasing those unforgettable table moments that happen when a group really clicks. In addition to private campaigns, I also create and publish actual plays, both live streamed and edited, on Twitch, YouTube, and podcast platforms. Producing those shows has sharpened my sense of pacing, tone, and scene work, and I bring that same care to every table run, whether we're recording or just playing for fun. Character creation

Creating your character

We’ll create characters together during Session 0. The process is thorough and collaborative, starting with your concept, pick your starting themebooks, and weave connections with the other players so your characters feel like long-time friends. No prior rules knowledge is needed, and all materials will be provided.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We’ll be using FoundryVTT for maps/music/ambience, you will have separate digital character sheets. No downloads or accounts required. Once the group is confirmed, you’ll receive a link to a Discord server for further organization and communication.

What Maia (my-ee-uh) brings to the table

I run with a focus on story and character, using ambient music and vivid descriptions to bring scenes to life. Combat will happen when it fits the story, and I follow the rules as written while embracing creative ideas that make the game more fun. Expect heartfelt roleplay, whimsical moments, and challenges that test both your wits and your courage.

Homebrew rules

We will not be using the Might rules, and magic will be handled on a case-by-case basis. These adjustments are in place in order to keep gameplay streamlined and simple.

Safety

How Maia (my-ee-uh) creates a safe table

Before play begins, all players will receive a Lines and Veils consent form to set boundaries. We’ll review this together in Session 0, and I’ll check in regularly during the game. I also use Stars and Wishes at the end of sessions to gather feedback and make sure the table stays safe, comfortable, and fun for everyone.
