About Lucas

Salutations, Adventurers! I've been a long-time player and a GM for the past five years. My players know me for the great work under NPCs, who feel real and with proper motivations, for my excellent mix of combat and narrative within my games, and for being able to keep long campaigns running, with four campaigns where each lasted around 2 years, each being concluded within the span of five years (different groups, so this time overlaps). Expect fights, fun downtime moments that enrich your roleplaying, your backstory heavily influencing the campaign, and a good mix of drama and silliness. For online games, I tend to use Roll20 and Discord. Expect battlemaps, proper tokens for NPCs (unless they're improvised, of course), and music!

How Lucas runs games

I do like focusing on the people, for I believe that makes the best narrative. For one, that means a high focus on the protagonists (aka you!), meaning I like to give a lot of room for the players to play their characters. That also means I'll flesh out NPCs a lot, so they can bounce the RPing with you guys. Villains will have proper motivations and goals, people will react to your shenanigans in a way that makes sense to their personality, and so on. I also enjoy combat, which will be adjusted according to the group's preferences. If you want to min-max and hit me hard, expect the enemies to strike back with a vengeance. That said, lighter games are also doable, in a way that your character can shine in combat as well as roleplaying.
