About Laurinda
Hello! My name is Laurinda and I've been playing D&D for 8 or so years now and DMing for around 6. My best friend had been (lovingly) pestering me to try it for years and in college I finally gave in. The first campaign I ever played in was Tomb of Annihilation (which, if you're familiar is not exactly a beginner-friendly game haha) but my DM did such a good job that I loved it so much that I bought several of the books and began devouring all the rules, lore, and information I could get my hands on. It wasn't long after that I chose to try my hand at running the game as a DM myself and discovered a love for guiding others through creating a cooperative epic. Now, I'm ready to try doing so professionally.

How Laurinda runs games
Get ready for fun, lighthearted adventures! Dive into role-play with a side of challenging, but fair battles. There will be lots of unusual NPCs for you to interact with and a whole world of unique locations to explore. Prepare to discover a mix of unpredictable homebrew items that can change your fortunes for better or worse if you dare to test them out. Though some settings may be dark and the subject matter sad, you'll never leave a session feeling gloomy. Let's tell stories together!
Featured Prompts
My favorite trope is...
the pure sunshine character who will absolutely murder you no questions asked.
My games focus on...
telling a fun story together where everyone gets a chance to shine. Roleplaying together is one of my favorite things to do and I love creating "spotlight" moments for each character to help weave everyone into a cohesive, extraordinary tale.
Rules are...
great for helping to keep a story coherent, but ok to bend or break if it makes the game more fun for everyone.
Laurinda's ideal table
I love a table where players aren't afraid to get silly. While by no means does that mean that there will be no serious or emotionally deep moments, I find an overall lighthearted attitude leads to everyone's overall enjoyment of the game.
Featured Prompts
I love it when a player
comes up with completely out of the box solutions to a problem, especially is it's both silly and wildly effective.
I think min/maxing...
is perfectly acceptable if that is what is most fun for you. However, do not get upset if not everyone builds their characters this way.
My table is not the place for...
rule lawyers. While it's ok to point out something I may have clearly forgotten or overlooked, ultimately this is a game about having fun together and as GM it is my prerogative to change rules to best reflect that.
