Salutations! I am just a jolly-jubilant-jewel who strives to spread joy in what can feel like a jest-less, joke-less, jazz-less world. Role-playing games have a way to uniquely unite us unicorns and usher uplifting and unforgettable memories. Letting love and laughter lead legitimatizes the longevity of lifesaving leisures. And zo, I embrace the zippy, the zingy, and the zany, like a Zealot, cuz lets be honest, everyone could use a little ZEST in their life. **In clearer words, (and to not drive all who read this too crazy <3)** When I rolled those click clacks for the very first time, it was magical to say the least. Due to being at an amazing table, I was able to experiment and truly express myself in ways I never thought I could. And so now, years later, whenever I GM a game at my local Queer Center, I always try to encourage that magical feeling in my players. As a GM, my job is to give my players a good time. I want my players to feel comfortable and free to express themselves and their ideas. To be their most authentic self in a game of pretend. Art imitates life as they say. TTRPGs are very communal games, and therefore everyone deserves their own spotlight and chance to truly engage with the narrative. But never at the cost of another player's consent and comfort. My table is a place of refuge and revelry, not a place of distrust and disarray. Its my job to make each one of my players feel like the heroes of their own stories, not the villains.

My favorite system of all Time is

Daggerheart. I know it's still fairly new and I've played way more DnD, and yet I'm in love. I adore the Hope/Fear Duality Dice, and broader yet, I love Daggerheart's design philosophy when it comes to player expression, streamlined mechanics, GM/Player give and take, etc.

How Lady Julz runs games

~ I am for Narrative over Rules style play. Rule of cool. ~ I enjoy a balanced table of Roleplay and Combat. I love both as each have their own strengths and allures. ~ I also I really, really, REALLY, love making puzzles! Sometimes you can't just talk or fight your way out of something, but truly THINK. ~ I adore Homebrew. As long as its balanced and appropriate I see no issue. My table is a place to have fun, be creative, and to be expressive. And though my table is open to anyone, not everyone will be the best fit. These are some factors that will be helpful to keep in mind when selecting my table: ~ My table is best occupied by players who are engaged. Those who are attentive, passionate, and curious will thrive. ~ Those who find synergy with their character and love to act them out are deeply appreciated. Theater and Art kids will be especially welcome. ~ I am vehemently against all uses of Generative A.I. at my table. Moodboards, Picrews, and simple written descriptions are all fantastic ways to still convey your character's looks without utilizing an unethical service. A.I. is theft. A.l. drains resources. And it is just fucking lame. So, yeah, players who use A.I. are NOT a fit at my table. ~ If you are respectful of people and their boundaries, you are already doing fantastic. ~ Lastly, if you are ok with an imperfect person who GMs imperfectly, but are still here to have a good time, you are the MOST welcome.
