About Kino
Hiya! My name is Kino (She/Her), and I've been an RPG player and DM since first discovering World of Darkness in 2010. After touching pen to paper, and dice to table, I've never been able to stop. I have a real love to introducing new players from other systems to new systems, particularly all the flavors of that WoD has to offer. As a queer trans-woman, I pride myself in fostering diverse tables, holding a safe space for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC folks, as the hobby is always greater when everyone is welcome. We all have a role to play! While WoD has always been my main system I run, with a focus on Vampire, Werewolf, and Geist, I do have experience running other system; Dungeons and Dragons, Call of Cthulhu, and most recently Avatar Legends. I have always tried to familiarize myself with other systems, as its a great way to stay creative and passionate. You never know where a good idea can come from. A lot of my focus as Game Master tends to be on creating social, political, and world building style games. While combat and rules style gameplay is important for all kinds of games, I find that in my experience the memorable moments are the connections players make with each other and to NPCs. I look forward to share my love for World of Darkness and other games. I know from my own time spent playing games how hard it can be to find GMs that are experienced and willing to run. I look forward to having you at my table!

How Kino runs games
Over the years, I have gone from a more linear, cinematic style, to a more sandbox approach. I love to create vibrant, boisterous cities, filled with characters, politics, and mysteries for my players to get involved with and explore. While combat is important and something I include, I often craft narratives that make use of non-combative methods to achieve goals and aspirations. One of the strongest elements of the TTRPG space over something such as video games is the ability to be creative in ways that developers often cannot implement, and seek to find ways to highlight this strength of the medium. The types of stories I like to tell often range from political theatre to ragtag "found families", all the way to silly stories like "professional ghost hunters". We all know how attached we can be to our characters, and I try my best to foster an environment where you truly get the most of the roleplaying experience.

Kino's ideal table
An ideal table is always gonna be first and foremost players eager to spend time with each other. Without a desire to create story with other players, games quickly fall apart. We all want to have fun, and experience an enjoyable narrative. If everyone is having fun together, than we are doing the hobby right! An ideal player is one that is willing to dive in and engage with the material present, either by me as a Game Master or Players. The hobby couldn't survive without participation from everyone!
