About Kat Miller

I am a pet mom, game lover, and avid reader and book/podcast listener. I am an educator, musician, and currently work to improve lives of elderly and veterans in my state. I love drama and acting and improv. I use it and my passion for stories to shape my style as a GM. I am constantly looking to improve my games. I have been GMing for nearly 2 years, after wanting to get into RPGs for many years. Once I took the dive I became enamored with group storytelling. I like bringing my NPCs to life and seeing PCs grow into their characters and flesh out their character's personalities as the stories progress. I enjoy combat and like to keep it efficient. I use basic maps for combat in online games, and announce turns ahead so everyone can be prepared. I prefer a simpler environment than most of the major VTTs, and use Discord and Owlbear Rodeo, and a lot of imagery. The main goal is for everyone at the table to have fun. I am not a rules lawyer, but like to maintain a balance with my rule of cool. :)
