About JP the Traveling GM
Hello my name JP. I’ve been GMing and playing D&D and other tabletop for almost a decade. My style of GMing is very story and roleplay heavy. I love creating immersive stories for my players that are meaningful and challenge their moral decision making. My greatest inspirations for storytelling are, old school BioWare, Critical Role, and White Wolf. I strive to maintain a fun and safe environment for my players, and foster strong communications and civility at the table. I have all players agree to a code of ethics before starting games to ensure a smooth experience. If any issues arises during gameplay, I always encourage my players to communicate with me ASAP so I can resolve the situation. Any player who violates the codes of ethics will be asked to leave the table. Systems that I am proficient with, D&D 5e, Fatecore, Mutants and Mastermind 3rd Ed, and Vampire Masquerade Old World of Darkness. I am also passionate about tabletop and boardgames. Some of my favorite board games are Betrayal on the Haunted House of the Hill, Fluxx, Kings of Tokyo, and Resistance.

I became a GM because
I enjoy roleplaying and building an immersive world with my players. It brings me a lot of joy to see my players happy and when they get into character and get really invested in the world we build. I’m do it because I love it and it’s fun.
I got started GMing...
I got my start GMing after I started a D&D club at my college. It was the beginning of my forever DM journey.
When I'm not running games I'm...
I'm playing board games and probably lifting weights.
How JP the Traveling GM runs games
I am very roleplay heavy and story driven in my sessions. So I love it when I can play off my players, and collaborate and add to their stories. I tend to reward creativity in my games and out of the box thinking. I like the rule of cool, especially for my players, as long as it doesn’t break the system it’s all gravy. I like to craft challenging but fair combat encounters, and offer at least one opportunity per session for a battle. I love using music to help set the mood, and when GMing online I also love customizing maps and screensavers to adding to the groups immersion.

My games focus on...
Roleplay, and developing stories, and characters.
Rules are...
good, but creating rememberable and cool moments are even better. It's a balance, but I tend to favor the rule of cool.
When it comes to voices
I love voice acting. I love being able to bring a character to life during a session ^_^.
JP the Traveling GM's ideal table
Players who are relaxed and chill, and are able to get along with each other. If there is a problem, I want my players to talk to me about it. I believe good communication and a chill attitude can solve most problems.
