About Jeremy S.
TTRPGs have always been a meaningful part of my life — a place to connect, unwind, and tell stories that stay with us long after the session ends. I fell in love with games like D&D and Shadowrun back in the late 90s, took a long break as life pulled my group in different directions, and then rediscovered the magic in 2020 during the isolation of the pandemic. What started as an escape quickly became a passion, and I’ve been playing actively for the past five years and running a weekly campaign for four. My tables are welcoming, inclusive, and celebratory. They are LGBTQ+ and BIMPOC friendly by design — not just safe, but places where every player and every character is valued for what makes them unique. To me, TTRPGs are a form of self-care, a way to explore heroism, mystery, and connection together. There's nothing better than hearing that a player had a great time at the table. I’m constantly growing as a GM, always open to feedback, and always honing my craft. My local group encouraged me to take the leap into professional GMing, and I’m excited to bring my love of collaborative storytelling, character-driven narratives, and meaningful play to new adventurers.

I got started GMing...
after I expressed an interest to do "professional" GM'ing at my home in-person game. The players in my home game all encouraged me and provided my first reviews to get me going.

When I'm not running games I'm...
I’m dreaming up new worlds, painting miniatures, reading fantasy and sci-fi, or tinkering with ideas for the next great adventure. I love exploring stories in every form — books, games, art — anything that sparks imagination and connection.
How Jeremy S. runs games
I run heroic, mysterious adventures filled with moral complexity and meaningful player choice. My tables are built on shared storytelling — I believe a campaign is at its best when players drive the narrative with their own goals, ambitions, and personal arcs. I build settings full of ancient secrets, shifting alliances, and consequences that matter, but the story always grows organically from the characters. At my table, players feel supported, challenged, immersed, safe to experiment, and inspired. I balance social interaction, exploration, and tactical combat equally, giving every kind of player a chance to shine. I use proactive role-play, encouraging players to define what their characters want and then weaving those goals into the unfolding world. I aim for campaigns where no path is morally simple, heroism is a choice, and every decision opens new mysteries. My job as a GM is to empower players, elevate their ideas, and create a world they’re excited to shape together.

I deal with rules issues by...
staying flexible, listening to the table, and choosing the option that keeps the story moving and everyone engaged. We’ll look up the exact rule after the scene, but in the moment I prioritize flow and fairness.
My favorite trope is...
the ancient mystery resurfacing — forgotten gods, sleeping titans, secret orders, and long-buried truths waiting for the right heroes to uncover them.
Rules are...
tools for telling a great story — not limits on what players can imagine.
Jeremy S.'s ideal table
My table is a heroic, mysterious, story-driven space where player choices truly matter. I create worlds full of ancient secrets, lost gods, hidden factions, and moral gray areas — but I rely on players to shape the path forward. The tone is adventurous and dramatic, with room for introspection, character moments, and big cinematic reveals. I give equal attention to role-playing, exploration, and combat. Every session blends social intrigue, discovery, and action, so all kinds of players have moments to shine. Above all, my table is collaborative. I use proactive role-play to help players define their characters’ goals, fears, and motivations — then I weave those into the story. I want players to feel safe experimenting, taking risks, and changing the world around them. I support bold ideas, unexpected creativity, and emotional character arcs.
