Wine and Vampires

Wine and Vampires

Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

The Dark Domains are a place of gloom and suffering. Which is where you come in. You can be a dark, edgy goth who fits in or you can live mas. And with a land full of werewolves, vampires, and other fell creatures you know it's gonna get wild. Curse of Strahd is a classic module and I will be running it in my style, which is a little more balanced in fun and that classic D&D style. The adventure is more an opportunity to hang out with good people who can chat and have a good time.

Highly recommend any game with Ian! He's a great storyteller and works hard at making every session interesting and fun. Absolutely would pick any of his games and know it's time and money well spent. Five out of five dragons!

Great for new players and those who are getting back into the game. Patient - calm - good story telling and voices. Enjoying so far and he is really supporting new players.

Ian is a ton of fun to play with. He's been the GM for a lot of games for kids, and I think that's given him a definite edge when it comes to thinking fast when players (even us old folks) go outside the box. From strategic Pathfinder 1E combat to on-the-fly worldbuilding with The Quiet Year to modern Buffy-style scenarios in Monster of the Week, I've seen a lot of flexibility from Ian over the past three years or so we've played RPGs together.

Ian creates super fun characters and worlds! I’ve played with him for years. It’s always amazing how he invents such cool encounters and scenarios. Ian works with players to devise fun collaborative storytelling games.

How to prepare

Players will need a mic bare minimum, I'd like to run with webcams but I know some people don't feel comfortable with them so they're not necessary. Beginners are very welcome so you don't need to know anything except to have a love for horror as a genre.

What I provide

I will bring the Roll20 pro subscription, the module, tokens, maps, and everything the Dungeon Master should be responsible for. When I run a module it tends to be a little more by-the-book with a light touch for character backstory that can grow based on player interest. I try to foster an environment of laughter and discussion punctuated by dramatic moments.
