About Jay
Hi! A Film and Media teacher by day, and Film and Media student by evening, and a weaver of a tales by night - how do I do it all? Overcommitment and stress - or perhaps, a little bit of magic? 😉✨ I’ve been a DM, hosting one-shots and a couple of long-form games, for a good number of years. I've helped out with Manchester's Rainbow Dragons LGBT TTRPG (*huff* how many more letters ARE there??) group, as well as a good few personal games. I’m here to tell stories and have fun, for new and experienced players, with silly magic fellas. Come on down, let’s get rollin’!

How Jay runs games
I like putting the focus on you, the player, and accommodating the nonsense you'll be getting up to. My games usually lie on the humorous side of things - whether it's setting up your proud elven clan imprisoned in the icy tundra prison by the mad mage Sänta Klaus, or finding yourselves taking over the running of The Peckish Pegasus bistro, I take my nonsense seriously. You won't find intense rules lawyering with me. My priorities lie on making sure you're having a good time, and that I'm having a good time, and that we're all having a good time playing make believe with our silly wizards.

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
Rian Johnson. There's problems to be solved, layers to be unfolded, and there's always someone doing a silly voice.
I once ran a session...
where a player threw a Fire Bolt at a Gunpowder Ooze on a ship. Everythink pointed to insta-death, but I couldn't end a campaign like that!
My games focus on...
Mysteries to solve, creatures to understand, and solutions to problems that may not always be by the sword.
