About Jaded

Hey there! I've been playing TTRPGs for about three years now and have happily taken on the role of a Forever DM by choice. I love running games far more than playing, and I enjoy crafting stories where players can make meaningful choices and explore the world in their own way. I started with D&D 5e before branching out into other systems, and now I’m bringing my love for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay to StartPlaying. I run a mix of RAW and Rule of Cool, encouraging player creativity while keeping the game fair and engaging. I use Foundry VTT for its automation and quick note-taking, which helps keep sessions running smoothly. I may not be the best at voices, but I love running games for roleplay heavy groups, especially new players who bring a fresh sense of wonder to the table. That said, I’ve DMed for veterans as well, and my main goal is to create a game where everyone is as excited to play as I am to run it. Looking forward to rolling some dice with you at my virtual table!

How Jaded runs games

GM Style Roleplay & Fun Hijinks: While I love a solid story, I also believe in fun and unexpected moments, whether it’s a player’s wild idea, a bad roll turning into something hilarious, or a twist no one saw coming. Expect plenty of room for creative antics, and don’t be surprised if the game veers into chaotic, funny moments. Your characters’ actions will have consequences, but they’ll also have opportunities for comedic misadventures! Lore & Story: I use the setting as a flexible backdrop rather than a strict rulebook. Players are welcome to explore Warhammer lore, but I adapt or soften elements, like overt racism or extreme classism, so the focus stays on story, fun, and roleplay. This allows us to enjoy the rich world without dwelling on the uncomfortable bits. Inclusive & Welcoming: My table is a safe space for everyone, no matter your background, gender, race, experience level, anxiety issues, or identity. I value making sure everyone feels comfortable, heard, and included. Whether you're new to the game or a seasoned player, I want you to feel welcome and empowered to play the character you want. Rules & Creativity: I run a mix of RAW (Rules as Written) and Rule of Cool. I stick to the rules when it makes sense, but I’m flexible enough to let creativity and unexpected ideas shine. Combat & Challenges: Combat is rare but deadly. When it does happen, expect tactical encounters and challenges that reward creative solutions, careful planning, and clever thinking. Most problems can be solved in multiple ways, combat is just one of them, and often the riskiest. Tech & Tools: I use Foundry VTT to make sessions smooth, with cool visuals and handy automation. Whether you’re a first-time player or a seasoned veteran, I’ll make sure you’ve got everything you need to enjoy the game.

I deal with rules issues by...

Making a call in the moment to keep the game flowing, then double checking afterward and clarifying with players if needed for future consistency.

Jaded's ideal table

💀 “If it all goes wrong, at least we’ll laugh about it.” I run story driven games full of chaos, character, and consequences, where the dice have a wicked sense of humor, and laughing through disaster is half the fun. Whether you’re trying to charm the wrong noble, accidentally summoning something that definitely wasn’t in the plan, or watching your best idea go gloriously sideways, my table celebrates it. We find humor in the bad rolls, warmth in the bleakness, and connection in the mess of it all. If you enjoy darkly funny misadventures, character moments that shine through the mud and blood, and a DM who believes a fumble can be just as memorable as a triumph, this table’s for you.

I think metagaming...

diminishes the fun of a story driven table. Players who use out of character knowledge to “win” or bypass consequences miss out on the joy of discovery, creative problem solving, and chaos that makes a game memorable.

I think min/maxing...

can derail the tone and flow of a story driven table. Optimizing for mechanical advantage distracts from collaborative storytelling and the kinds of unpredictable moments that create laughter, surprises, and lasting memories.

My perfect party mix is

Players who are curious, creative, and love story driven chaos. The kind who laugh at bad rolls, embrace consequences, and jump into improvisation with one another. People who care about character moments as much as success, and enjoy exploring strange, grimly comedic worlds together.
