About Jacob Wolf Lefton

Tabletop roleplaying games are one of the constant threads weaving across my life. I've been playing since I was a very small child, both in games with peers and with adults around me. I grew up in a multi-generational game, a long-running story played by my father's friends and then the children of that group. I played in other games and systems through childhood, college and my entire adult life. I'm a professional actor, working on stage and screen, and I perform long-form comedy improv on a regular basis. I'm sure that it's tabletop roleplaying that sent me down this path - the love of play and storytelling touches everything I do. I bring genuine joy and excitement to the table. I have some old systems that I enjoy, and I love learning and running new systems. I'm excited to run a game for you. Please feel free to request something as well :)

How Jacob Wolf Lefton runs games

I love a grounded character with a rich backstory of friends and relations. I'm into the stories of everyday people striving to do difficult things, having complicated and tangled lives. The worlds are deeply realized, full of emotional hooks. My approach follows rule of cool more than strict rules as written, but in the direction of grounded play - I like to keep it plausible within our shared base reality. I do enjoy crunchy systems! I also like tactical combat, though online I will start us out with a Theater of the Mind approach.
