About Joshua
Greetings mortals and mortal-adjacent. I'm Josh. I'd spent years acting and playing diceless, rules lite RPGs before discovering the joys of tabletop games, and making that my whole personality. I have ran many games at my local game store for parties of 1-8 people, as well as several home games. I have experience running for people who are brand new to TTRPGS, and for those who've been playing for an age. As a queer games master, I aim to make my table a friendly, welcoming, and above all else, safe space for all. I will not tolerate intolerance of any kind. There are no "Inherently good or evil" groups in my games. Sometimes a devil can be redeemed; Sometimes an angel falls.

My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be
D&D, Dread, and Lichcraft. I love them all so much, but it's hard to run games online that require a Jenga tower
How Joshua runs games
I enjoy a healthy mix of roleplay heavy games with some challenging combats and the occasional puzzle. I will enforce rules more heavily in a campaign than a one-shot. It's fair to say I reward and favour novel solutions to problems: One of my players once nearly beat a dragon single handed by casting plant growth on the seeded bread it had been eating. I tend towards homebrew adventures, though I do have experience running pre-written modules as well. My worldbuilding generally themes itself around philosophical questions, thought experiments, and dilemmas. Most of my games take place in the Homebrew world of Satrenium.

Rules are...
An exceptionally useful tool for defining the world, the story, and the characters. They are not, however, the only tool.
