About haru'

My journey as a DM began in childhood, wandering the forest for hours pretending I was a mage or ranger. I fought invisible foes, spoke to imagined spirits, and built stories out of branches and stones. That instinct to create worlds never left me. Videogames later opened doors into richer, stranger realms. Their stories and emotions shaped my sense of narrative, connection, and choice, creative a moral compass I guide myself with. Even now, everything I play, read, or experience becomes another thread I weave into my worlds. I discovered tabletop roleplaying during the pandemic and found a joy I hadn’t realized I was missing: the joy of co-creating. Across almost a decade, I’ve learned to listen, to read the table, to balance tension and release, and to blend player ideas seamlessly into the narrative. I’ve learned to craft stories not for players, but with them. Besides that, in my day to day job, I have to build many interpersonal relationships and interact with a wide range of personalities and character types. I believe these soft skills have translated really well into how I approach storytelling, helping me step more easily into the characters I create and better understand and connect with the people in my party. And through it all, one rule guides me: we’re here to create something beautiful together. So let’s respect each other, stay curious, and enjoy the time we share.”

How haru' runs games

I lean into a cinematic style of storytelling: immersive, emotional, and deeply rooted in character-driven roleplay. My worlds are mainly adventure fantasy at their core, and I’m drawn far more to narrative and connection than to tactics or optimization. What fuels me as a Dungeon Master is the act of creating a story with my players, shaping memories together that linger long after the dice stop rolling.
