About Scott
I am Scott from Scotland (easy to remember). I was a player of D&D 3.5 for a handful of my college years, and have been a DM at my local games shop for two years now. Most of my life right now revolves around working, thinking about how I can add everything I see into a TTRPG campaign, or running sessions with my amazing regulars at my local games shop. I enjoy gaming, binge-watching shows, hitting the gym, and trying to make my players feel as many emotions as possible. I have made people cry with laughter and sadness during some of our sessions, which is one of my proudest bucket list moments.

How Scott runs games
As a DM, roleplaying is where I excel. I have built the confidence to throw in different voices for my characters inside of a busy shop (to many a strange look), and love it when my players become invested. I would consider myself to be the immersive taxi-driver for my players. While crunchy tactical combat isn't where I excel, I have found myself running about the table bringing the combat to life.

I once ran a session...
Where the players played a one-shot session full of homebrewed goblin classes due to something one of my players said in the campaign!
Rules are...
There for a reason, but made to be broken when something cool is meant to happen!
When it comes to voices
I love doing them, and embarrass myself on a regular basis at the local games shop by doing them in front of strangers!
Scott's ideal table
I like my players to be as excited as I am about our sessions. For example, when I ask my players to do "homework" such as concepts for a character, I love it when they are enthusiastic about this. I love when someone brings ideas to me that they want to pursue so that I can expand their own storyline along with the main plot (with both often intertwining). I adore when players are invested in the game and the roleplay, getting into their character. Bonus points to those who add a unique voice for their character! The table vibe is always very chill, with moments of silliness to break up the serious moments here and there.

I love it when a player
is enthusiastic about their character and their story. I want to highlight them together!
I think it's a red flag when players...
Min/maxing, metagaming, OoC and IC becoming mixed. These are my red flags.
