About Greybeard

TTRPGs are a mess by nature. From my first day behind the screen until today, the start of the session feels like putting on a helmet and going into a trench. And quite frankly, I enjoy it! In an age long gone I was invited to a TTRPG game and it was purely awesome. But the table had a strict rule to throw newcomers into the cold water: Only 5 adventures, then you'd have to GM one yourself! So I ran my stupid, cobbled together adventure without any grasp what I'm doing and it turned into a fun endeavor for everyone involved. I never stopped to this day.

How Greybeard runs games

I'm a no nonsense GM. Player agency, a consistent world, and an engaging gameplay experience are my main concerns to run a meaningful game. For that I hold no punches and I roll with the punches. My adventures are exciting and dangerous, and the discoveries strange and fantastical. My games are run fast and loose, but that doesn't mean I come unprepared. Beyond that I'm a mostly by-the-book GM.
