About Gabriel Gondim
Brazilian GM! Currently 24 yo, 7 years of playing TRPGs, as a player and a GM. My first "official" RPG system that I played with was D&D 5e, but since then, I've been playing other systems as well, like Tormenta20, Call of Cthulhu, Vampire: The Masquerade and Wilderfeast. 🤓 I do have interest in learning/trying to GM campaings in other systems that I haven't explored yet, like Pathfinder, Mouse Guard, SkyfallRPG, and Fabula Ultima. I feel like I have to share that upfront... but even tho my english level is sufficient to keep a standard conversation normally, I'd probably need some practice at being a GM due to the need of constantly describing nature, furniture, fancy clothes and their type of fabric, and other things that... aren't as common to hear when learning a language as groceries conversation for an example. BUT! I'm always willing to try and learn!

I became a GM because
People always found my characters concepts/lore interesting, and some said that I'd do great at GMing I didn't LOL But with enough practice and given the time, inevitably, I got there and hera I am.
My favorite system of all Time is
Tormenta 20, a brazilian TRPG system known for it's similarity to D&D 5e, which helps new palyers to understand, and yet, it's HIGHLY customizable. A wizard can be completely different from another if want to. It's a system that allow a bunch of different and optional rules that works just fine.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
"Creative, elaborate deep scenarios and is great in improvisation" "In his casual games, I usually get home with headache as I laughed so much" "Patient, be it to nousy players, or with new player asking for help. Yet, draws the attention back to the game without being rude to anyone"
How Gabriel Gondim runs games
🎭 Deep Roleplay Focus: I personally LOVE immersive, in-character RP – voices, acting, the works. I think it's way better. But hey, I can totally dial it back if the group's not feeling it. 🤹 Super Adaptable: I’ll shift the vibe in a heartbeat – less RP, more combat, talkinng more, or less, more description, less...whatever fits the players. Flexibility and improvisation are my strenghs 😂 Comedy & Good Vibes: I’m always cracking jokes, keeping it light – as a GM, player, even through NPCs. It's a game after all, right? I can't run a game without thinking of making someone laugh at least a bit, even when the campaign is settled in a pretty dark theme. It's totally doable. ⚔️ Tactical Combat Junkie: Usually, my combat scenes are pretty HARD fights – low resources, high stakes, needing smart plays in which the players must gather information around or seek territorial advantage in order to win. That "aha!" moment when you outthink the encounter? Chef’s kiss. Makes me proud. 🧠 Weird & Cozy Campaign Ideas: Sometimes some... unconventional stuff are my new ideas – running a bakery, escorting Little Red Riding Hood... y'know, cozy/niche vibes from my weird brain. Always open to wild ideas! As long as they don't hurt any veil discussed on the table! 🎮 Recent Campaign Mashup: Last one was a messy mix of Monster Hunter + Shadow of the Colossus + Zelda. Friends called it "Shadow of the Monster Hunter: Breath of the Tears of the Kingdom" – dumb name, but I loved it.

I deal with rules issues by...
Thinking on how they would affect the story in general, if applying specific rules will only affect some minor details of what's hapenning, I rather ignore them. Or, even if it's important, I would TRY to summarize the rule if its to dense, or come up with an easy explanation of how it works.
My games focus on...
Characters decisions, and how they will solve a problem in specific - or not, even, like if they decide to run away from the problem, who knows? I'm fine with almost any decision or path, I just want to see how they will deal with the situations I put them into, and honestly, it's 70% of the fun...
When it comes to voices
I do love to make up voices to NPCs, but there are two main problems: 1 - It's really a bother when I'm doing voices and all, and my players are not even changing their tone of voice to act like the character. 2 - My voice is normally deep, so... female chars are usually hard to maintain.
Gabriel Gondim's ideal table
I always try to fit in the group mood, and the type of session we're running. If there's something I can tell about my tables, is that the people will always be respectful towards everyone since I don't tolerate hatress in any way/shape. Also, I try to maintain a casual mood whenever I can, so everyone can laugh, have fun and discuss their ideas freely.

I love it when a player
When a player is very punctual and well prepared. This. THIS! is the best thing for me that could happen, after, maybe, a player that is committed to my game and respect other people's agenda. Non-negotiable: absolute respect to others, no matter the difference. Hatress won't be tolerated!
I think it's a red flag when players...
Disrespect one another directly due to characters discussions; What happens in the game has to stay on the game, but of course, some of it usually leaks a bit and we all must be adults here and deal with conflicts the right way, and not attacking one another with their characters.
My perfect party mix is
I absolutely love when everyone is Option 1: Everyone is very similar, same humor, same personal tastes, "all the same". It makes so much easier to shot right on the spot the best idea for a campaign to them. Option 2: When everyone is COMPLETELY different. So I can create the most absurd stories!
