About Brady Jeffery

Welcome! I have been playing a range of TTRPGs for six years and absolutely love it! Mostly, I have played Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, playing in a 2024 campaign and running a 2014 campaign. However, I originally started by playing Vampire: the Masquerade (5th Ed.) and am eager to start running the new Daggerheart system in the near future. I enjoy running games with a high level of role-playing and intertwining players' characters into the world/campaign. Alas, don't be fooled, I am also known for creating challenging combat and puzzles! New adventurers, don't be afraid! Heavy role-playing and challenging combats may sound daunting. However, for a long time, I was the only one of my friends who played TTRPGs, so teaching my friends and family has made me the Game Master I am today. I love this hobby, and I love nothing more than introducing new players to it! So whether you have never rolled dice or are a battle-hardened adventurer, I would love to have you at my table!

I got started GMing...

I love storytelling! Creating worlds and characters to explore emotions, ideas or themes that you may not get to experience in the normal day-to-day world!

My favorite books are

The Hobbit, J.R.R. Tolkien - A great adventure book that explores great themes and stakes. Magician, Robert E. Feist - An interesting magic system and story surrounded by war! Strom Front, Jim Butcher - Bring magic into the new age and then turn it into a murder mystery, what could be better?

People are always surprised when I tell them

I am an IT Professional! When I am not reading or learning about TTRPGs I am usually thinking about the next cool thing I can do in my homelab.

How Brady Jeffery runs games

I enjoy running games with heavy roleplay, with a good mix of combat and puzzles. I also love introducing new players to the hobby, whether that is through a system I already know or learning a brand new one together!

Rules are...

a great framework to allow you to learn a system and play with structure and guidance. Buuuut, I do like a little chaos at my tables! If a player goes out of their way to think of a creative way to best an opponent or solve a puzzle, why shouldn't they be rewarded? #RuleOfCool!

When it comes to voices

I am not scared to make a fool of myself. I am whole-heartedly willing to make you believe that you are, in fact, talking to Grognak the female half-orc! #NoApologies

Brady Jeffery's ideal table

I enjoy running games where everyone can be involved in interacting with the story and letting their characters' decisions truly impact it! It is important to me that each player has an opportunity to input at the table. And most importantly, we are here to have fun!

I love it when a player

enjoys playing their character! Making decisions and actions that further progress not only the campaign story but the character's story as well.

I think it's a red flag when players...

force their opinions or try to control another player's PC.
