About GM Ven
As somebody who is learning to teach history, I've spent a lot of time studying how to breathe life into stories. Stories can unite, inspire, and let us dream bigger, while also examining the realities and fantasies of the world around us. Eight years ago, I dove into my first campaign; since then, I’ve run years-long virtual campaigns, as well as hefty Westmarches servers, play-by-post campaigns, and countless one-shots across D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e, Shadowdark RPG, Index Card RPG, Nimble RPG, and more. I’ve spent years crafting worlds, maps, battles, characters, magic items, villains, and hard hitting climaxes contrasted by chaotic moments of laughter between. It has always been my ambition to bring a truly cinematic and immersive experience to Tabletop Roleplaying, and as such, I seek to design experiences unlike any other. My improv and theater background infuses each game with genuine roleplay depth, making sure every cliffhanger, boss fight, and emotional reveal is intended with heart. If you crave an unforgettable, premium TTRPG experience, welcome home! I seek to turn my passions for stories, friendships, and narrative experiences into a sustainable side gig where I can truly apply the skills that are strongest in me. I work hard, build robust systems to organize my my life and work, and strive to elevate tabletop roleplaying for us all!

How GM Ven runs games
My priority is always to create a safe and supportive environment for us all to explore our games in. Every story evolves through the voices that shape it, so in my games, I truly try to let players drive the story. I craft themes, premises, locations, characters, and conflicts, but "the story" is ultimately something I'll never outline. If my players go left instead of right, I roll with it and let their choices blossom into exciting subplots, side-quests, or even new main arcs entirely. For combat, I believe battles can be more than “defeat the foes.” Sometimes, you need to rescue hostages with a ticking Clock or secure a cursed artifact before the fortress crumbles. I work hard and build tools for myself and players, not just for a polished showpiece, but for a collective experience, one that harnesses the best of nostalgia, improvisational spark, and genuine human connection through storytelling.
