About Jeff Walklin
I have been playing and running TTRPGs for over 40 years and in that time I have played D&D, but I have also tried as many different games as I could get my hands on. I love teaching new players as well as teaching new games to seasoned players.

I became a GM because
I love telling stories around the table with others.
My favorite books are
Comics (all kinds), Mysteries (Ellery Queen, Agatha Christie, Ellis Peters), Biographies, and History.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Reading, drinking coffee, playing piano, drinking coffee, writing, drinking coffee.
How Jeff Walklin runs games
I love role-playing and storytelling. While I also enjoy combat, I am not as interested in high-tactical simulations. While I am always up for a humorous voice or a funny story element, I like to balance that with high-stakes, emotional consequences. At the end of the day, my favorite kind of game covers multiple story types and attempts to give every player a fun time.

I once ran a session...
for 9 tweens at a birthday party. I didn't have any of my RPG gear with me, so we grabbed a die and a pile of index cards and made up the game right then and there. It was 3 hours of pure, unbridled chaos and I was exhausted but we all had a blast.
My games focus on...
role-playing and storytelling.
Rules are...
Necessary to set expectations, but they are not carved in stone.
Jeff Walklin's ideal table
My preferred table has a diverse group of friends who are ready to play together to tell a fun story.
