About Shawn (t0rp0r)

Welcome to my table! Expect action, expect high stakes for your characters, and never expect the Spanish Inquisition! If that reference didn't clue you in, I've been playing for quite some time; I've also been a gamemaster for friends, family and the online community. I started with the basic D&D set as well as "1st Edition" (Advanced Dungeons and Dragons), and have played most of the editions in between. I've also played or run games covering the gamut from dark humor (Paranoia), humorous horror (Ghostbusters), Sci Fi (Star Frontiers, Star Trek, Star Wars) and even cartoons (Toon). I bring my years of experience to every game, as well as a desire for everyone to have fun!

How Shawn (t0rp0r) runs games

I try to encourage players to make their own decisions. I never railroad, but I'll give plenty of clues and options for those who need it. I'm happy to help new players learn the ropes, and give experienced players unique challenges. My favorite games are ones where characters save the world (or the Galaxy) by the end of the campaign! I like tactical combat, but always strive to never drag things out to the last goblin's hit point when it's obvious who's winning.

I'm cool with players of different ages or experience levels, as long as they're all willing to work together. I want everyone to relax and have a good time. I love players that come up with unique solutions to problems, even if they take things off the rails sometimes. I may have done that a few times myself over the years.
