I love tabletop RPGs. I've been playing for twenty years, and I think there's no better way to get to know people. No matter your identity or background, no matter how you make a living, you can find real warmth and make lifelong friends through games like D&D. How Taylor Cobb runs games
I'm a fan of player authorship. I encourage my groups to give a little editorial spin to the actions and reactions of their PCs. Don't hesitate to add your own narrative voice to your character, cultivating a presence all their own! Crunchy combat without anything else can be awfully dull. The other facets of a game don't stop just because a blade's been drawn, after all! I enjoy roleplay and noncombat encounters as much as a pitched battle, and keen players will find often opportunities to turn fights to their favor, or avoid combat entirely, with a dab hand or silver tongue.
