About G3OBAZZ1
I am 24 years old, married, with two kids, have ADHD, and tend to get hyperfixated on my campaigns. I started my first TTRPG game in 2023 and since then, I’ve watched different actual play shows like Dimension 20 and Critical Role, or listened to some podcasts like The Adventure Zone, Worlds Beyond Number, and more recently Dodoborne. Growing up I wanted to be a novelist for a bit and then a musician after that, so I have a background in creative writing and music. I never published any of my written stuff, but I do have several journals, notebooks, and word documents full of stories that I have just lying around. After a certain point, I just decided to use that part of me to start planning Tabletop games, since most of my time is spent with my kids or working generally. Any free time I have tends to go towards planning out campaign ideas or learning to use software that will help me with my game prep. I grew up playing video games, watching movies, and every so often reading books. Some notable things that I enjoy and sometimes draw inspiration from include Skyrim, Dark Souls/Elden Ring, Undertale/Deltarune, and Hades. As well as, Mistborn series, Elantris, The Hobbit, and other less well known ones like Michael Vey, The Immortal Stories of Nicholas Flamel, Guardians of Ga’hoole.

People are always surprised when I tell them
I am hearing impaired in both ears with the hearing aids and everything. So sometimes I might have difficulty hearing but luckily it hasn't caused problems at the table so far.
How G3OBAZZ1 runs games
I like to focus on the narrative and creating a gripping and powerful storyline. I love trying to incorporate the stories of each of the characters into something cohesive. Because of that, my combats tend to be more for story than for tactics alone. So most of the time I will try to incorporate some sort of reason for the fight, and something that the players can get outside the normal loot. Because of that, I use milestone leveling, because I feel it’s very rewarding to get a level out of a big accomplishment. I love having new players and teaching them the hobby or system. In that regard, to make things easier for myself and for others, I don’t like keeping explicit track of money, encumbrance, or ammunition. So I tend to abstract those away when playing certain systems that use those. I like to have a consensus of what makes sense for the story. I also put a lot of emphasis and importance on being kind and understanding to yourself and others. So during session 0 I will generally give out a lines and veils “consent” form of sorts to see what everyone is okay with, and I am more than happy to skip, stop, or change the story if someone is feeling uncomfortable. Because it’s more fun when no one is uncomfortable. I like to put NPCs in from all walks of life into my games, including those with visible or invisible disabilities or different gender or sexual identities. Everyone should be able to feel heard and be represented whenever I’m running a story.
