About Giwrghs

Yo! My name is Giwrghs (Yo-rgis) or George, and im a college student in Athens, trying to see if I can do my hobby as a part time job with my studies and even after I finish my studies. I have been playing DnD for 11 years, and in the past 3 years I have started to dabble in other TTRPGs, like Vampire 5th edition and Shadowdark. More availability after the 30th (Its Exam season for me)

I became a GM because

the friend group wanted someone to run games. i stayed one because I loved worldbuilding and running for friends!

People are always surprised when I tell them

I am still surprised when the level 3 Rogue does a billion damage to my BBEG

The three words my players would use to describe me are...

BAD DM, BAD DM, BAD DM (they love me)

How Giwrghs runs games

Most of my sessions have been homebrew content with custom stories, stat blocks, npcs and plot points. I have run multi session campaigns that have run for 2 to 3 years, but I mostly run oneshots, all in the same homebrew world, inspired by all your favourite games and movies! (Its always Skyrim, Warhammer, the latest movie or anime I have watched and Lord of the Rings combined). I like to run my oneshots based on player requests. Sometimes its just endless and mindless combat with hack and slash adventuring (and murder hobos). Sometimes it can be serious multi hour roleplaying sessions that had to do with player backstories or heavy and convoluted plots about political games, overthrowing corrupt kings and invading foreign lands in the name of the civilized (who always tend to be the evil ones in the end). I take the game seriously in the sense that actions have concequences. Players who do questionable choices should face concequences, which doesnt always mean punishment, just a funny and potentially painful learning experience that doesnt punish the player or the party. I will not pull punches in a dungeon and if all players agree, I like to run adventures that can be and usually are deadly. If players dont want a dangerous adventure and just want to slay a monster or two and call it a day, thats fine by me. The story that the group wants to have, is the tale I will tell through the actions the players will take.

I prep by

procrastingating on my courses and using all of that energy and creativity to make epic fantasy worlds.

My favorite trope is...

the evil guy wants to destroy mortals because they are failing themselves

My games focus on...

having fun, and telling the story all players want to tell.

Giwrghs's ideal table

The table dictates what we do in the game, from serious RP to mindless slashing of enemies. I follow what the table wants and as long as everyone is having fun, the story goes on.

Featured Prompts

I love it when a player

isnt afraid to do something risky for his character

I think it's a red flag when players...

are arguing about what to do out of table. Characters are meant to clash, but players should be able to cooperate out of game no matter what character they want to play

My perfect party mix is

the one roleplaying, the min/maxxer rogue damage dealer, the joke character and the mom of the party
