About me

Greetings, to travelers of all shapes and sizes! (🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️✊🏿) My name is Gian! I'm an English major and an absolute DnD fanatic. My DnD journey began in my senior year of high school, where I would meet up with three of my friends at the local Wendy's after school to play in our first ever campaign. I still remember that character fondly (good ol' Half-Orc Fighter). Ever since then, DnD has become a regular fixture in my daily life and my favorite medium to express my love for storytelling. While I may not have as much direct experience as these guys who have been playing the game before I was even born, I still do everything in my power to ensure that I've crafted a cohesive and satisfying narrative for all of my players at the table. GM Style

I'm very flexible when it comes to the roleplay/combat/exploration split. It heavily depends on the kind of party that I'm GMing for. When it comes to roleplay, I may be no Matt Mercer, but I can certainly still pull off some pretty solid voices. My ability to get into character with a convincing and appropriate voice is one of the more frequently praised elements at my table. As for combat, I enjoy running it tough as nails. If the combat's too easy, there's no stakes! With that being said, I don't like to bombard the party with combat encounters, and I know when to throw in some more laid-back casual sessions to alleviate the combat fatigue. And when it comes to exploration, I rely on intricate descriptions to get the players' minds racing about what could possibly be lurking around the corner. I'm a huge proponent of theater of the mind, so if that's not something you can get into, my table may not be the best fit for you.
