About Forest
I bring nearly a decade of experience behind the screen, starting with D&D 5e before moving Pathfinder 2e on its release. My approach to GMing is deeply rooted in a background of performance and game mastery. I spent years in the podcasting space, hosting shows on GM theory and character build crafting as well as performing in actual play productions. I also spent many years playing in a local hardcore band, and music remains a massive influence on my creative process. I am a lifelong nerd with a passion for deep, immersive worlds like Star Wars, Elder Scrolls, and Fallout. I am also an avid tabletop wargamer with experience in Warcry, Infinity, and Warhammer 40k, where I play Tau. When I am not prepping campaigns, I am usually playing cooperative or strategy video games like Darktide, XCOM, and Age of Wonders 4 or RPGs like Baldur's Gate 3, Mass Effect, and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.

My favorite system of all Time is
Pathfinder 2e. I have Gmed so many systems and in the fantasy space nothing comes close to PF2E for me both as a player and as a GM. The customization offered to players is top tier without overwhelming them. On the GM side there is a rule for everything and the math works up to level 20.
How Forest runs games
You can expect a GM who knows the rules inside and out and is eager to help you build the character you have in mind. I lean into the mechanical depth of the system to make sure your abilities feel impactful and cool. Expect combat to be challenging and strategic. My encounters tend to be designed to feel like a tactical wargame or a turn-based strategy game. I reward teamwork, positioning, and smart resource management. I want you to feel like your tactical choices matter just as much as your dice rolls. I prefer running games with a serious narrative tone and deep world-building. Whether we are in a high fantasy setting or a gritty sci-fi world, I aim for the kind of immersion you find in RPGs. I build NPCs with realistic personalities that react to your choices to create a living world. I tend to take a more laid back approach to RP letting your words count more then rolls. Not that rolls won't help you get what you want from NPCs. While the in-game stakes are high and the story is serious, the out-of-character vibe is laid back. I prioritize a strictly inclusive and LGBTQIA2S+ friendly table. My goal is to create a safe and comfortable space where we can tell a compelling story together without stress.

My games focus on...
A mix of roleplay and tactical combat.
Forest's ideal table
I put a lot of effort into building immersive, challenging worlds, and I look for players who are ready to match that energy. Here are some things I am looking for. Deep Immersion & Investment: I want players who are excited to live in the world we are creating. Ideally, you are someone who prefers to stay in character for most of the session especially during RP. Not that above table jokes and memes in the chat aren't allowed but there is a time and place. I’m looking for players who actively seek out roleplay moments—not just with the NPCs, but with each other. The best stories happen when the party is talking amongst themselves and genuinely caring about the narrative stakes. If you are invested in the plot and the world, we will get along great. Tactical Minds & Survival: My combat encounters are designed to test your mastery of the system. I need players who have a tactical mindset and enjoy the "game" aspect of the RPG. You should be constantly looking for advantages, flanking opportunities, ways to support your team and ways to debuff your enemies. A Note on Metagaming: Because I run games where character death is a real possibility if players don't work together, I have a specific stance on table talk: I encourage metagaming during combat. I want you to coordinate. Discuss your strategy, plan your turns together, and call out ideas. I treat combat like a cooperative tactical challenge. Character Motivation: When you’re building your character, the most important thing is giving them a reason to actually go on the adventure. I need you to build someone who is ready to "do the thing." Your backstory should drive you toward the plot, not away from it. I love complex characters, but at the end of the day, you need a believable reason to care about what’s happening and a motivation to stick with the party to get the job done. Players will also need a clear mic set up so we all can hear you.
