About me

Hello! My name is Kyle. I've played mostly D&D5e for almost 7 years, and in that time I've grown as a player, a GM, and a creator! While my combat/dungeon building chops are strong, I absolutely LOVE to take time with my players to incorporate the backstories of their characters into the adventure and create great RP potential in the world.

GM Style

"As your group travels through the forest, you hear the snap of a branch followed by a shriek and a thud. Looking over to the side of your path, you see a Goblin who thought they were being sneaky and fell out of the tree. They look to be a child. What do you do?" Ever since I started playing D&D5e I've made characters with in-depth backstories and worked with my GMs to help their stories come to life. Sitting on the other side of "the screen" I've always made it a point to give my players the same treatment! I want you to feel like you are a part of the world :) I do my best to give each character a voice of their own! (Though you may notice some repeats here and there) I'm also a big fan on combat. So if Swords & Spell slinging are your thing, then I'm the GM for you!

Super engaging narrator who builds a detailed world, but presents information so that it isn't overwhelming. Super inviting and friendly environment for newer players, such as myself. Genuinely loves to play and to see the players' creative ideas. Would recommend to anyone.

Kyle does a great job with collaborative storytelling. My characters choices always feel like they have direct impact on the story and setting. He is also great at balancing encounters, they never feel too easy or impossible unless intended.

I first worked with Kyle as a brand new player and he made everything so easy and straightforward to understand. Even now he’s fantastic at tying your character into the world lore. I’ve been playing in his home brew games(one is also a podcast hehe) and when I jokingly mentioned multi-classing my monk as a warlock he went, “ooo yes!” And gave me recommendations on how we could tie it with her subclass, background, the world and sprinkled it into the story prior to leveling up so it didn’t seem sudden. You really feel immersed!

Kyle was always working to improve the game and our experience in it. He knew how to strike a good balance between role playing and combat, and allowed us to be creative and express our ideas. He always made sure to check that we felt safe and comfortable with things, and I felt I became a better player the more I played with him as DM.

Kyle was my DM for several years for a Hoard of the dragon queen into Rise of Tiamat game and to say He went above and beyond is an understatment. We as PC's were not only just another party trying to solve the world crisis, but directly tied into the world lore. His unique ways to include character backstory into a pre-written module came off as very genuine fitting and genuis. Each character in our party had a complete character arc including various Epic destinys tied directly into the campaigns story points fitting right along side with the beat of our party heading towards the finale. No spoilers but it was a MONSTEROUSLY EPIC time playing. 12/10 would reccomend.
