Hey, I'm Max. I've been playing TTRPGs since I was eight when the 5th edition of Dungeons and Dragons was first released (granted, I didn't fully know the rules back then). The passion this game lit within me was boosted after I was introduced to online actual plays, especially Dimension 20's "The Unsleeping City". I also enjoy watching clips from more relaxed and unhinged campaigns like "Once Upon a Witchlight" from Legends of Avantris. After running a Kids on Brooms game at my high school for almost a year, I've wanted to run another game and am constantly coming up with new ideas. While I've had fun running combats in the past, I find my stride in setting up and encouraging PC roleplay. I'm also a big fan of conceptualizing and putting together intriguing characters and backstories in collaboration with my players. While I sometimes struggle with recalling the rules, I always strive to make my looseness with them increase my player's enjoyment. Players in the past have told me that I have a talent for putting together entertaining and hilarious campaigns and working with whatever sudden decisions my group throws at me to make a compelling plotline. Even when I fail to prepare for an eventuality, I can steer alongside it and keep the story going without making my player's choices unacknowledged. Games I've run in the past include a multiverse hopping Kids on Bikes adventure and a quest to stop the war using the 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons system. I will be happy to learn the rules well enough to run any games my players want, as I am always looking to expand my repertoire.

GM Style

I prefer to run semi-sandbox, player-character-focused stories with an overarching threat and on-the-spot NPCs, both intriguing and outlandish, with widely varied voices.
