About Paka
Aloha! I’m Paka and I love DnD. Facilitating that love through DMing or playing is a passion of mine. My goal as a DM is to bring the story to life for the whole table. The story is what’s most important in that aspect and to me that means everyone at the table loves it. I plan to make that happen through immersive storytelling by working with everyone involved and making sure that their voice is heard. A little bit about me: I’m from Hawaii and growing up here has made me ma’a (accustomed) to all different walks of life. It’s a huge melting pot of diverse cultures here and I love it. I enjoy learning about new cultures as well as integrating with them all the time. I’m DMing because I love doing it. I want to be able to support my family as well as help others enjoy this wonderful experience as much as I do. Mahalo for your time and please feel free to contact me about running games for you whatever the topic may be!

How Paka runs games
First and foremost the story is the most important part of my style. I want to build a deep and rich story that players will remember for years to come. In terms of the three pillars of DnD I lean towards roleplay(40), combat(35) and exploration(25). Ofcourse that’s my personal preference but I’m willing to workaround what the party wants out of their adventure. I’m up to date with the new school and rules which I strive to not let the game be bogged down by. I’m more of a “rule of cool” kind of DM. I’m always up for suggestions when it comes to what players want out of the game. I enjoy running modules as well as homebrew. Essentially I like to think of myself as a go with the flow and make sure everyone’s having fun type of DM. All that being said, the table is meant to be a safe place where everyone can come to have fun and not have toxic/traumatic things pop up. I find it crucial to clearly state what the game/story is about and what directions it will likely go as well as saftey topics and tools to help facilitate that. All in all if you have questions feel free to contact me and I will do my best to answer them.
