About Dave
Hi everyone, I'm Dave. My journey with Dungeons & Dragons began back in the 80s with 2nd Edition. I've been running 5th Edition campaigns consistently since 2013, hosting games for both local and online players. I love building unique, custom worlds and believe that the best stories are the ones we create together. I encourage player input and will work with you to make your character's backstory an integral part of the narrative. We'll be using Fantasy Grounds Unity, and you can download the free demo to join our sessions. To get a feel for how I run a game, you can watch some of my previous campaigns on my YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOpeo8ZEJzK-Yh13M5FGZ_g

How Dave runs games
My games are all about immersion and player agency. Your choices matter, and they will have consequences. I build gritty, character-driven worlds where players must overcome daunting challenges through clever problem-solving and combat alike. I love a good backstory, and I'll work with you to make your character's history—including their hometown and belief system—an integral part of the campaign setting. Our Session Zero will be dedicated to character creation, discussing player motivations, and establishing a safe space by setting clear boundaries. Don't worry if you're new to Fantasy Grounds Unity; I'm happy to help you get started.
Dave's ideal table
I want players who are driven by the story and want to be a part of a larger, compelling narrative. They will be motivated by the clear goal of saving a town from a supernatural threat and will appreciate a satisfying conclusion that brings peace to the community. I'm also looking for players who enjoy creative problem-solving. This adventure isn't just a series of dice rolls. It rewards those who use their skills—like Investigation to find clues left by the thieves, or Perception to spot a hidden trap. The final puzzle of placing the artifacts on the correct monuments gives them a chance to use their wits, not just their weapons. Finally, I want players who don't mind a good battle. The encounters are tied directly to the story, with a mix of undead guardians and human adversaries. The final confrontation with the cunning rogue and powerful wizard provides a dynamic and challenging climax to the adventure. It's a great opportunity for them to show off their character's abilities in a thrilling fight.
