About me

I've been crafting adventures and telling stories through tabletop RPGs for over twelve years, starting with D&D 4th Edition, journeying through the realms of 3.5 and Pathfinder, and ultimately embracing 5E—my preferred playground these past few years. Along the way, I've explored countless other systems, including Shadowrun, GURPS, Star Wars Saga Edition, Mutants and Masterminds, and many more. My greatest joy as a Dungeon Master lies in the creative synergy of collaborative storytelling. I cherish the opportunity to meet imaginative, passionate players and build vibrant worlds together. At my table, players will find themselves immersed in rich narratives that challenge their creativity, strategic thinking, and role-playing abilities alike. Whether it's weaving intricate webs of intrigue, staging thrilling battles, or diving deep into character-driven drama, my goal is to cultivate an environment where players feel empowered, inspired, and deeply engaged. Most recently, my passion project has been developing and running my Long Rim setting for Lancer—a labor of love that's been ongoing for the past year, and continues to grow. Everyone is welcome at my table. I have only one rule, and it's simple: Be excellent to each other.

GM Style

You can expect rich narratives that are tailored to your character. Epic quests for glory, grand battles, and wide-spanning conspiracies. I tend to run RAI (Rules as Intended) versus RAW (Rules as Written). And the rule of cool is a default at my table. However, I never shy away from making my players earn victory. And pride myself on creating interesting challenges that push the party to the edge, ensuring that they'll need to work together to overcome the odds.

Tyler Crow is an impressive DM and I'm so glad I chose him as my very first DM for my very first online campaign, ever. As this was my first time playing any tabletop online, I was nervous and didn't know what to expect, nervous about meeting new people, about how the tools work, and about how my play style would be received. But, Tyler made the onboarding process completely painless. His tabletop setup on Roll20 was well prepared and visually attractive. He patiently explained Beyond20 plug ins and helped us get it set up. Mechanics issues were extremely rare and easily resolved with little to no wasted time. Roleplay was encouraged by Tyler and well received by the group. Our story is already a riveting tale I can hardly wait to watch unfold. I already love my fellow players, their characters, and the man breathing life into our world. That's how you know you've got a great DM at the head of the table. Thanks Tyler. You are greatly appreciated.

Being a player in Crow's game has been such a treat. He goes above and beyond with foundry vtt to create and give a wonderful presentation in each session. Using sounds, music, and art to make every rp session or combat encounter so fun. He's also decent with voice acting showing a range of characters he can do, and clearly tries to make every character distinct. His story telling is also great weaving a nice and Interesting mystery into my current game with him that keeps me engaged. He also know the material (Lancer) well enough both in mechanics and lore. All in all great person would recommend to any new or experienced player

To be honest, the few session with Tyler has been the most fun I had in a Lancer campaign. never thought one day I could get excited every week for Tuesday to come. Tyler makes some great roleplay, nice visuals in the campaign and I think it is a great GM to start with if you are new to Lancer and looking for a Campagin.

Tyler was more than willing to accommodate awkward schedule hours, and as such I was able to be a part of the game even if it was only for a short time.

Crow walked a group of mostly new players through the system and had us up and running in a single session zero. He allows for a lot of creative freedom and runs a solid game, I highly recommend him.

Crow has access to a tone of materials that makes for an immersive game. The music, the foundry extensions, i look forward to the game every week and spend the day leading up to it fantasizing about how awesome it's goings to be.
