About Scylla
Hi! My name is Ivandro, I’m 35 years old and based in Portugal. I’ve always been passionate about creating games, puzzles, and stories, and I’ve built my professional life around interactive experiences. I studied Game Design and I’m currently studying Computer Engineering, and I also own and run a local escape room in Nazaré. Designing engaging challenges, meaningful choices, and immersive narratives is at the core of everything I do. I’ve been a Dungeon Master for about 7 years, during which I’ve run dozens of campaigns and one-shots. While I’ve hosted some games in person, most of my experience is online, primarily using Foundry VTT. I run both original homebrew campaigns and written adventures, with a special appreciation for classic modules. I’ve been a Dungeon Master since I first started playing tabletop RPGs, and while I’ve played as a character once or twice, I truly feel at my best behind the screen. I also manage a small but welcoming Discord community, where we regularly play campaigns and one-shots and frequently welcome new players.

How Scylla runs games
I love creating worlds and stories just as much as I enjoy exploring written settings. When I run published modules, I adapt them, reshape them, and make them my own while staying true to their core themes. One of my biggest passions as a Dungeon Master is connecting character backstories to the world, allowing players to explore their past, confront personal goals, and see their choices leave a lasting mark on the campaign. My greatest strength as a DM is creating meaningful challenges. I enjoy high-stakes campaigns where decisions matter and consequences are real. I don’t run overly forgiving games, and I don’t protect characters by fudging dice — success is earned, and danger is part of what makes victory memorable. I design complex encounters, including multi-mechanic boss fights, original puzzles, and a wide variety of homebrew content such as magic items, potions, herbs, and custom systems. I love crafting everything that helps make the world feel alive. Immersion is extremely important to me. I prioritize the flow of roleplay and dramatic scenes, making rulings on the spot when needed and reviewing rules after the session to keep future play consistent. Respect at the table is non-negotiable. I aim for a light, friendly atmosphere combined with deep immersion and intense storytelling. My favorite campaigns are long, epic journeys, where characters grow from level 1 adventurers into legendary heroes shaped by both triumph and sacrifice.

My games focus on...
immersive storytelling, meaningful player choice, challenging encounters, and long-term character growth within a living, reactive world.
Scylla's ideal table
My table is best suited for players who enjoy immersive, story-driven campaigns with real stakes and meaningful consequences. I run games where choices matter, the world reacts, and success is earned rather than guaranteed. Players who fit well at my table are collaborative, respectful, and engaged with the story and the group. I especially enjoy players who invest in their characters, bring thoughtful backstories, and are excited to see those stories woven directly into the campaign world. The general vibe at the table is friendly and relaxed out of character, but focused and immersive in game. There’s room for humor and light moments, but when a dramatic or important scene is happening, I value staying in character and maintaining the atmosphere. My campaigns tend to be challenging and intense, featuring tactical combat, puzzles, and high-stakes situations. I don’t run overly forgiving games or rely on fudged dice — danger is real, and overcoming it is part of what makes victories meaningful. Respect is non-negotiable. Rude or disruptive behavior has no place at my table. I aim to create a welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable, heard, and excited to come back for the next session.
