About Canon Mead
I’m Canon M., a GM with 18 years of experience running tabletop RPGs and a deep love for memorable, player-driven storytelling. I’ve run D&D 5e, D&D 2024, D&D 4e, and Pathfinder 2e Remastered, with especially strong system mastery in D&D. I currently run five home games a week, and regularly GM published or heavily modified published adventures. Beyond home games, I’m also an experienced convention and organized play GM. I’ve run at Gen Con, Origins, Gary Con, Gamehole Con, Winter Fantasy, Magic Con Chicago, Quest Con, Mega Con, and for Baldman Games Virtual D&D Weekends since they began during the pandemic. I primarily run on Roll20 and Foundry, with support from Discord and D&D Beyond. I’m happy to teach newer players, though my games are best suited to players who already know the basics and want a polished, engaging experience. I use safety tools and work to create a friendly, funny, professional table that is welcoming to LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC players.

How Canon Mead runs games
My games are cinematic, tactical, and character-driven, with a strong focus on meaningful choices and real consequences. I enjoy running games with a solid grounding in the rules because I find that consistency helps players make informed decisions and lets victories feel earned, but I always want the rules to support the fun, tension, and flow of the story. Players can expect high-stakes combat, teamwork, emotional arcs, and a story that responds to their actions. I love creating tense set-piece battles, risky negotiations, and exploration scenes where one choice can shift everything. I want both mechanics and roleplay to matter, so smart play, strong character moments, and party cooperation all have room to shine. My goal as a GM is to create a game that feels immersive, fair, challenging, and rewarding. I can teach newer players, but my style is often the best fit for players who know the basics and want a polished, engaging experience with both tactical depth and character development.
