About me

I have over 30 years of experience playing tabletop role playing games like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Savage Worlds, and others. But I truly enjoy being behind the screen and running games for my friends. I have DM'ed at multiple major conventions like GenCon, Origins, and Winter Fantasy. I regularly DM at my favorite FLGS, run a bi-weekly home game, as well as a number of online games on Roll20. Whether this is your first TTRPG game, or you have years under your belt, I would love a chance to game with you! One of my true passions is writing adventures. During the days of D&D 4E I wrote for Living Forgotten Realms organized play, and I am currently writing Mini-Dungeons for Adventure-a-Week.com. I've written entire homebrewed campaigns for my players, including a full campaign for D&D 5E based on the storyline of Diablo III. Creating custom monsters to challenge my players is my specialty! I'm a DM that believes in using all the tools I can to engage my players. Intricate maps, miniatures, 3D printed and painted terrain, props... whatever it takes to immerse my players in the game!

GM Style

I tend toward more combat oriented adventures, but I definitely will step aside and allow a group to role play if that is where they decide to take the adventure. I believe in allowing the players to drive the story and I try to improvise on the fly to adapt to what the players are doing. I've been known to get into character from time to time for a truly interesting or important NPC. My main goal for any game I run is for the players to walk away having had a good time.
