How Dim Dee Emm runs games

As a DM, I take great pride in weaving players' characters into the fabric of my world. This approach makes the story feel more personal and meaningful, giving characters a deeper motivation to face the challenges ahead. Even in one-shot sessions, I aim to tie your character's background into the narrative in some way, ensuring your story is reflected in the adventure. When it comes to combat, I prefer running objective-based encounters that offer more than just the simple goal of defeating enemies. For instance, you might need to save captives, escape a collapsing room, or stop a dangerous ritual from completing. I also like to introduce environmental effects that can impact the battle—whether it’s falling icicles, gusting winds, or toxic gas leaking into the area. These elements can serve as obstacles or even potential advantages, adding layers of complexity to the combat.
