About DiceMasterWizard (Chris)
I'm Chris — Top GM, 4 years and 150+ games on StartPlaying, and a veteran who brings a decade of military discipline to running tables that start on time, stay organized, and never fizzle out. My games are character-driven above all: your backstory doesn't sit in a Google Doc — it becomes plot. I weave every character into the world so your choices carry real weight, and I improvise freely, so the story bends to what you do rather than the other way around. Expect high production value: fully built Foundry VTT scenes, custom tokens, professional maps, and curated music and ambience. Communication runs through Discord, and safety tools (Session 0, Lines & Veils, open door) are standard at every table I run. I run long-term campaigns in a living Forgotten Realms Cormyr, where events in one table's game echo into the others. Whether you're brand new to D&D or a grizzled veteran, there's a seat that fits. Off the clock, I'm a proud dog parent to two Alaskan Malamutes. Come tell your story — I'll make sure the world remembers it.

I became a GM because
I always had an idea about the player experience I wanted but could never find it. So I decided to run games the way I would want them to be run.
People are always surprised when I tell them
I'm a soldier and a powerlifter.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
passionate, teacher, roleplayer
How DiceMasterWizard (Chris) runs games
Story and Character oriented, I love weaving the character's backstory in the fabric of the world. Roleplay is a must, you can't do D&D without RP. I have a soft spot for players that really like to slow down and have their characters enjoy a moment in a tavern or bath to relax or have friendly party banter in character. I love tactical combat and take great efforts to play the monsters as they would react in a situation instead of doing things because I know how the characters play.

I deal with rules issues by...
I rule immediately but promise to research it further offline. This is done without disregarding the temporary rule. I also ensure all the players know how this situation will be handled next time.
Rules are...
guidelines. Words have meanings. DMs are here to use the rules to rule situations not covered in the books.
When it comes to voices
I don't do voices, I try sometimes but I do adapt the speed or the tone.
DiceMasterWizard (Chris)'s ideal table
My tables love the lore and to roleplay. My ideal table would have a group of people that would enjoy the lore of the Forgotten Realms and would have no issues going in on party banter for 1h. A good sign of a party with good cohesion is when the players can play an argument in character.

I am for a vibe that's...
Fun, whimsy and where people feel comfortable playing with the world
If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
The Forgotten Realms
I think min/maxing...
is okay as long as there is a story reason and you can accept that I'm going to ask questions about what/how you are doing something.
