About Coffee

Kia ora! I'm Coffee, a GM of three years looking to turn pro. I first fell into the TTRPG scene after listening to The Adventure Zone. My first game was D&D, though after being a player for a few months I realized I was much better suited to GMing. I ran a prewritten adventure for a few months, then dived headfirst into homebrew. Since then I've run multiple campaigns, mostly in Pathfinder 2E, with some coming to incredible conclusions at high levels. Nowadays I consider myself system-agnostic, and prefer to cater my choice of TTRPG to what will best suit my players style while allowing me to engage in my flair for worldbuilding and drama.

Preparing for games, or on the off chance I'm not working on one in some way or other, I'm reading, cooking, or playing WoW.

How Coffee runs games

I enjoy creating worlds and characters that feel alive and responsive to the players choices. My ideal session would feel like a one shot even in a larger campaign, and has evolving narrative elements, a natural ebb and flow in stakes, an involving opening and a satisfying conclusion. I like to have combats that have narrative function and incentivize players using more than just their character sheets, thinking about their knowledge of their enemies and using the complex environment I've created for them. Lastly and perhaps most importantly, I enjoy customizing the system I'm playing to better interact with the elements my players are focusing on.

Coffee's ideal table

My ideal players are ones who can share the spotlight without being scared to have their moment in it. Players who want to know more about the world, bounce ideas back and forth to develop their characters and flesh out their background and upcoming arcs, and who aren't afraid to ask questions either about the game or the system when they don't know something.
