About Darth Wingnut

I'm Darth Wingnut. I became addicted to D&D when I was 14 and a friend asked me to run a game for him, though that also means I've been Forever DM for 34 years now. I started running games online just over a year ago and am looking forward to sculpting a story for you.

How Darth Wingnut runs games

I try to make sure that there is a fair mix of different aspects of the game, from RP to combat to puzzles, and work very hard to make sure each character gets time in the spotlight. I work with my players to make sure that I am creating an experience they enjoy, and even with being on this site, I still want to make sure I am allowing for it to be collaborative storytelling.

I prep by

I prep by making pages of digital notes, using multiple apps and resources, and knowing full well that the players are most likely going to go in exactly the one way I didn't anticipate and I am going to need to roll with it... and I love it.

Darth Wingnut's ideal table

My table is always a welcoming and inclusive space, no matter your experience level, all are welcome as long as they respect the inclusivity. I am strongly in support of the LGBTQ+ community and will not tolerate harassment towards folks at my table.

Featured Prompts

I love it when a player

I love it when a player gets excited about the story and how it interacts with their character's growth and development. Nothing beats seeing a player invested in what I'm bringing to the table.

I think min/maxing...

I personally think min/maxing gets pretty boring. I'd rather see a whole lot more personality in builds and characters in general. Anyone can look up an insane build online, but you remember the characters who had more to them.
