About Dappersaur
Hi! Are you intimidated by starting new things? Do you find socialising stressful at times? Do you find long sessions and games too much of a commitment? Then come join me on some mini adventures! I focus on one-shots for less pressure on both the players and myself, with plenty of understanding for various social anxieties and struggles. As long as you can be polite and friendly, we can muddle through together! I've played various TTRP games for around 10 years, mostly playing D&D 5e, however I've recently switched to Pathfinder 2e and find it makes a lot more sense.

I got started GMing...
Running the mini-adventure 'Frozen Sick' for the group I played with. It was very chaotic (on their part!)
My favorite books are
I generally enjoy sci-fi, favourites include Jeff VanderMeer's Southern Reaches trilogy and Adrian Tchaikovsky's sci-fi (specifically Children of Time and Alien Clay). I also enjoy the slower burn of 'healing fiction' like 'Marigold Mind Laundry'.
My favorite shows/movies are
Crash Landing on you, Luottomies, Our Flag Means Death, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga
How Dappersaur runs games
I enjoy running very relaxed games

I deal with rules issues by...
As long as it's not game-breaking, an interesting story for the players is the most important decider.
Rules are...
The rules are more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules.
When it comes to voices
My own accent is inconsistant, and the only 'voice' I've ever successfully done made me yawn every time I spoke
Dappersaur's ideal table
I enjoy playing/dming for people who are pretty easy-going and here to have fun, rather than people who are looking for anything serious or gritty. I'm pretty good at rolling with chaotic decisions (as long as they fit the character and aren't detracting from others' experiences!) and embrace decisions made with dice/coin flips. I'd never deliberately kill your character, but I also believe that characters die, and that's okay.

I am for a vibe that's...
Chilled out, easy-going, and here for a good time
I think it's a red flag when players...
Forget that the group is the main character - their personal character is not.
I think min/maxing...
Is fine for some games and play styles, but personally a bit of a boring way to play.
