About Cruxien, Orange Wizard

Greetings, traveler. I am Cruxien, an american writer, musician, and game master. I have been running a TTRPG session *at least* once a week since early 2016. I love GMing, especially for new players who are discovering these games for the first time. Should you choose a seat at my table, you can expect: 🔮 Engaging and flexible stories told in my homebrew settings 🔮 🏳️‍🌈 Queer and Neurodivergent safe sessions 🏳️‍🌈 📙 Beginner-friendly approach to game rules 📙

I became a GM because

I love creating stories with people, simple as that. I've always been searching for a way to express my creative energy in a way that worked for me - I tried video game development, writing, music - And while I like all of those things, nothing really hits the same note as running TTRPGs.

How Cruxien, Orange Wizard runs games

Some of my favorite moments in my games are when players change the course of history with their decisions; Player agency is integral to my storytelling style. The adventures I run are almost always completely homemade. I find a great deal of joy in creating worlds, and watching them be changed by the choices of the players. I want your character to have an impact on the world around them, whether that be through a triumphant victory or a tragic miscalculation. As such, my table is ripe for roleplaying, drama! Tension, resolution! On a campaign-by-campaign basis, my games might feature building a stronghold on a mountain of glass, exploring a new plane of existence, or something as simple as queer characters dungeon-crawling.

My games focus on...

Player agency and their characters' inner world. To me, being able to adapt the story to its players in a personal way is what these games are all about - If you wanted to play a complete story to its conclusion, you'd be playing a video game!

Cruxien, Orange Wizard's ideal table

My table is perfect for players who like going off the rails. I love to teach new players, and surprise long-time players with new challenges and unfamiliar twists on existing concepts. And, equally so, I love it when my players surprise me (which they do often) and take the story in a whole new direction!
