About Andrew Krosofsky
I'm a storyteller at heart—not just as a Dungeon Master, but as a writer, creator, worldbuilder, and actor. I'm the kind of DM who cares more about weaving a compelling story and creating a memorable experience than obsessing over every rule. In my experience as a Dungeon Master—which is considerable, as I've been running games since the 10th grade—roleplaying is about escapism and enjoyment far more than it is about the numbers on a character sheet. That's the philosophy behind every game I run. I build my campaigns around your characters' goals, desires, and personalities. I want my players to bring the world I've created to life, making choices that have meaningful consequences for both the story and their characters' lives. Above all, I want everyone to leave the table feeling satisfied, delighted, and eager to discover what happens next.

How Andrew Krosofsky runs games
I like characters, voices, roleplay, more than I do the amount of damage a player can deal. I like monsters that challenge players but offer unique opportunities for players to combat them. In terms of story, I like moral quandries and high stakes, rather than focusing on mundane tasks like shopping or finding treasure. That's not to say I don't love a good treasure hunt though, and I'm more than happy to reward players with gold, experience, and extra character bonuses when they exhibit real roleplaying chops or do something particularly noteworthy.

I once ran a session...
With an entire part of evil aligned characters...they had basically killed eachother by the 5th session.
Rules are...
Guidelines at best, variance and roleplay are what make games fun.
When it comes to voices
I do them and I love doing them, but I leave it to players to determine if they want to keep that type of performance up throughout a game.
Andrew Krosofsky's ideal table
I like tables where different voices and alignments can be free to discuss complex issues. I think that players who enjoy the roleplay aspect will have more fun than those who are purely focused on the rules and power-gaming. The vibe I try to cultivate is one of fun and fantasy. Roleplaying is meant to be an escape from the real.

I love it when a player
Plays to their character, even if it means the whole rest of the game and/or story is affected by their actions. Actions should have consequences.
I think metagaming...
Is not for me. If you want to metagame, play a video game. Roleplay is not a competition.
