About Renato

Two decades of DM experience, started with AD&D in the Gary Gygax era. Ran hundreds of adventures and dozens of long running campaigns. Also GM’d extensively in Call of Cthulhu, TMNT and Shadowrun RPG and ran my own Play-by-Mail series. At the moment launching my PbP 2.0 adventure series set in my homebrew world of Aldoria, creating and playing solo RPG games, enjoying the occasional D&D one-shot with friends and having conversations with my 3 cats Mochi, Chino and Kittler.

How Renato runs games

My DM style is pure oldskool 100% Theatre of the Mind so I leave the fancy maps and Discord chatter to others. I started playing in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons and Gary Gygax era and started playing Forgotten Realms when it came out. Built a vast library of D&D novels like the Crystal Shard and Drizzt series, Dragonlance and Cadderly series back in the 80’s and 90’s and led my players through dozens of long-running campaigns in Fearun and beyond. Now I mostly run one-shots with friends and free sessions to introduce our beautiful game to new players. Next to DM work I also design and run next generation Play-by-Post games set in the land of Aldoria and design immersive solo RPG’s set in different fantasy and apocalyptic settings. If you love immersive imagination and role play you’ve come to the right DM. Roll your own physical dice and share what you’ve rolled and I will do the same.
