About Tausty Z
Hello; I've been running games for almost a decade. I have experience running DnD 5e; and World of Darkness and actively run both systems. My current goals in terms of DMing is to create a living world which spans through multiple campaigns, time periods, and even systems. I like to run more Grimdark and Horror themed games; exploring themes such as Psychological and cosmic horror, poligical intrigue, as well as explorations into themes of ideologies, philosophies, and spirituality. I'm a spiritual person and my biggest inspiration for my games would be my personal life experiences and spirituality. I'm really big into Esotericism and Occult philosophy and incorporate a lot of that into my worldbuilding and setting.

How Tausty Z runs games
Like I said before my games tend to explore themes of horror and darker topics and I like to create a sense of lingering anxiety and tension; I also draw on OSR material and meatgrinder style modules for some inspiration. With that being said; I like to make my players happy and feel important. I think that everyone wants to feel like a badass, or really cool, or have their moments and I try to ensure that each player has these types of moments. There are a lot of combats in my game; and I tend to run lots of horde type encounters. Exploration and Dungeon crawls are also a really big part of my games. I use a hexcrawl map for overland travel; and implement rules such as dungeon turns to give my games a sort of old school feel. Roleplay is also a really big part of my games of course; and it doesn't have to run contrary to having good combats. I try to involve the backstories of characters into deep metaplots and strings of connections. I really like lots of drama and irony in my games. Out of the two main types of roleplay; I try to create lots of opportunities for exploring the wilds, uncovering the mysteries of the world, and finding ancient secrets. Along with that Intrigue and personal Drama are big parts of my games. I like creating complex webs of relationships between various characters and facilitationg both interpersonal and intrapersonal drama.
Tausty Z's ideal table
I have a big appreciation for players that take initiative in Roleplay and are energetic about the game. Most of my players are really creative and often come up with out of the box solutions for various challenges I throw. A lot of my players are also optimizers and I encourage my players to build strong and powerful characters.

I love it when a player
I love it when a Player is open minded and open to trying new things. I wanna build a story with the players and that takes cooperation and communication from everyone involved.
I think it's a red flag when players...
I think its a red flag when Players are argumentative or complain consistently. Having a negative vibe like that can bring the entire mood down and can affect the entire session; constant negativity can ruin a campaign.
I think min/maxing...
I actually don't think there's anything wrong with making strong characters and optimizing. Every character should be effective at what they do. I trust players to not break the game with busted builds or exploit the rules to create an unpleasant environment for others.
