About Lauren
Hello, my name is Lauren (IGN: Osi), and I’ve been a storyteller all my life and a tabletop RPG player since 2018. After discovering the joy of the game in college, I jumped headfirst into running my own games as soon as I was comfortable with the DnD 5e system. I am currently learning other systems as well in hopes of widening my horizons…! As an avid daydreamer and artist (I am also a licensed art educator), the world of TTRPGs allowed me to funnel my overloaded creative mind into a healthy outlet that not only brings me joy, but allowed me to bring endless entertainment to my friends- and hopefully one day, you!

I became a GM because
I needed somewhere to put all of this creative energy. If I didn't, I would have exploded!
People are always surprised when I tell them
My homebrew world, Midgard, has been in the making for almost 10 years, with over five long-term campaigns!
When I'm not running games I'm...
Designing, printing, and painting miniatures or terrain!
How Lauren runs games
I pride myself on showcasing high-stakes, gritty fantasy and making NPCs and PC consequences feel realistic. I enjoy plenty of engaging roleplay and many brutal combats to test your skills! My background in art, design, and digital production has allowed me to bridge the gap between in-person play and online play. My goal is to not only create a visually engaging experience for players through a small screen, but to make them feel like they are a part of a professional and production-level experience. All of the art you'll see in my campaigns is created by me! Furthermore, unlike many online DMs who rely on standard digital map builders, I bring your battles to life using my extensive collection of physical terrain and miniatures. You will see firsthand the battlefield through my camera setups, bringing the authentic in-person tabletop feel straight to your screen. No two parties are the same, and I pride myself on tailoring the gameplay style to fit your group's exact preference. Depending on your goals, we can run rough and tough dungeon crawls, focus on roleplay and puzzles, or navigate complex conflicts that leave you thinking about the greater morality of the world long after the session ends. I accept players of all skill levels and lived experiences. Neurodivergent and friendly to all.

I prep by
Researching, preparing battle maps, and most importantly: communicating and daydreaming!
My games focus on...
My games focus on conflicts. My goal is to make the world and its story feel entirely real and lived-in, placing a heavy focus on individual character arcs and meaningful consequences. I want the narrative to feel deeply personal, and the combat to feel real, harsh, and utterly badass!
Rules are...
Important to maintain fairness, consistency, and foster creativity and challenge through limitation!
Lauren's ideal table
Players willing to think both inside and outside the box, collaborate, and truly bring their best selves to the table to make their characters feel real, and the world around them feel real, too.

I am for a vibe that's...
Gritty, engaging, with a dash of humanity and heroics in a dark and unforgiving world.
I love it when a player
Takes charge of their own story, communicates their ideas, initiates new scenes, challenges me creatively, and brings new concepts to the table!
My table is not the place for...
Ultra-fantastical and joke characters. There's nothing wrong with a funny concept, as long as you commit to the bit and make your character feel fully fleshed out.
