About Michael
Hello there, I’m Mike! Been playing TTRPGs since 2017 and been acting as a DM since 2024. I love to tell stories and share them with anyone who will lend an ear. My style tends to sway towards lots of RP opportunities while still finding room for fun and exciting combat!

I became a GM because
I wanted to tell stories and have fun with my best friends
I got started GMing...
Doing what was supposed to be a one shot turned into a 4 session mission that went wildly out of my control lol
My favorite shows/movies are
Kamen Rider, The Producers (2005), Gurren Lagann
How Michael runs games
With a background in theatre, and inspiration from many actual plays that have popped up over the years my style leans towards telling grand stories and exploring the inner workings of characters so my campaigns tend to have plenty of opportunities for RP (sometimes even during combat). I will admit I do prefer to mostly play rules as written however I don’t always agree with every rule so I’ll change a small few or even add some, and I’m always open to hearing out my players if they want to do something that may not normally work with RAW

I prep by
Bullet points, I fully recognize that most sessions will never go to plan so I try to leave plenty of room for player involvement
Rules are...
Important to me, they aren’t the end all be all, but I do like to follow them unless I feel they detract from having fun
When it comes to voices
Years of Theatre, voice over, and boredom have given me plenty of time to develop plenty of character voices and weird little noises
Michael's ideal table
I’m open to all at my table so long as they can be respectful and willing to enjoy the company of their other player and myself. My number goal is making sure everyone is having some kind of fun so I’m not looking for any party poopers

I love it when a player
Commits to a complicated character
I think it's a red flag when players...
Constantly stepping over other players to involve themselves in stuff that isn’t related to their character
I think metagaming...
Not terrible, it’s good to check in with each other on what’s going through their head but not to the point where it’s influencing the game
