About Ginger
I am a 25 year-old genderfluid dungeon master with over 8 years experience as a GM for several systems and homebrews. I enjoy creating art and music to go along with my stories, as well as the comradery of shared story-telling. Guiding players through dungeons and towns are where I feel the most at home!

People are always surprised when I tell them
The number of siblings I have! It rarely comes up, but usually garners quite a response from folks.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Creative, Engaging, Relaxed
When I'm not running games I'm...
Creating art, writing down ideas, putting together playlists... And occasionally logging into a puzzle game for some mind stretching. :)
How Ginger runs games
My GM style is most akin to novel story-telling. The focus is on the player characters and their stories with each other. Backstories are explored as new events come to fruition; the past always comes back to haunt. But all good stories need conflict! From corrupt politicians to grand beasts hungry for power, my antagonists always earn their roles as villains. Though almost never through personal spite, they cause wide-spread visual suffering in their wake. Nothing is more exciting than when a party of player characters have grown into their best selves, and when they stand before the climatic final boss of the story. As a GM I take personal responsibility to make sure my players are able to collaborate in creating dynamic living characters, even with some light hearted jokes tossed in here and there.

I deal with rules issues by...
Democracy. All players should contribute to how they would like their game to be played, and thus should have a voice in the decision making process. A simple vote of "I like this" or "I don't like this" usually resolves conflicts pretty quickly!
I once ran a session...
That involved me chucking small Bingo Balls at my player's minis during the boss fight. There's not enough space here to provide full context, but you can bet everyone had a great time!
Rules are...
An artistic medium. The dimensions of a canvas, the colors you can paint with, the pages of the book. To get less metaphorical, Rules provide constraints in which to be creative in. Can't think outside the box, without a box, right?
Ginger's ideal table
My tables are generally considered laid-back fun, with long bouts of roleplay and strategic combat encounters. I like to play off my player's emotions and jokes.

I love it when a player
Roleplays with an NPC I haven't prepared. 90% of the time, it gives my players a fun time, and I have the ability to expand the worldbuilding a bit further.
I think it's a red flag when players...
Whenever a player wants their character to leave the party alone for an extended period of time. This generally means the character's goals aren't aligned with anyone else in the party, which could lead into conflict later.
My table is not the place for...
"Main Characters" or generally anyone who is only interested in the story for themselves. My table is always a place where players come to create a story *together* about *each other*.
